The Biodiversity Galiano project is dedicated to raising awareness of Galiano Island's flora and fauna. Here is a place to share your observations and stories, and connect with other naturalists on the island.
By posting to this iNaturalist project your observations will add to the list of species known to the island, and you will be credited for any novel contributions!

The Bio Galiano project serves as a digital field guide to Galiano, engaging locals in the creation of a living record of the island biodiversity. You can learn to identify many plants and animals you come across by sharing your observations and participating in this learning community.
The project curator gratefully acknowledges the traditional Coast Salish territories on which we are guests. May our initiative to document the biodiversity of this place promote care and respect for all life as it exists in the Salish Sea.
