Fishes of Texas

This project is part of the larger Fishes of Texas project (www.fishesoftexas.org) to document occurrences in Texas and surrounding U.S. and Mexican states. We hope this project will complement the museum specimen vouchered data and lead to a better understanding of the distribution of fish species in Texas. We encourage others to use this data for research and education. Users submitting data to this project are strongly encouraged to provide as much data as possible to maximize usefulness to researchers.

When possible please submit photos showing a lateral view and with fins erect. Additional photos of specimen details (fins, head) taken from various points of view (dorsal, ventral, lateral) can often be critical for accurate identification. menos ↑
