The term “roadkill” describes wildlife such as mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians that have died due to having been struck or run over by vehicles. This project was created to track wildlife-vehicle collisions, define the species that are most at risk, and identify the areas throughout the state of Montana that have a higher risk of wildlife mortality due to vehicles.
