Plants and Fungi of Alaska

Observations platform for citizen science initiatives based out of the UAF herbarium. We are beginning 'para-botanist' training courses (observation, identification, photography and specimen making) in summer of 2016, and will use iNaturalist as the public data repository. Our goal is to encourage people to visit and collect in uncollected parts of the state, and to resurvey areas that may have already been affected by climate change.

The iNaturalist permissions for this project are: Membership = anyone may join; Adding observations to the project = anyone, member or not; Geolocation = required (only curators may see obscured locations ); Photos = required; Additional observation metadata = optional, but strongly advised (you observations may be excluded from analysis if missing metadata). menos ↑
