Tree located at the Lakefill. Tree is 25-30 feet tall and is found in a clump of multiple junipers and juniper bushes. Grey, rough bark. All needles are scaled and form 3D clusters (not fan-shaped). Green-blue-grey round fruit present all over the tree.

Medium sized tree with fuzzy green pods in winter. In the spring time, the leaves are 17 cm long and 6 cm wide. Leaves are opposite, obovate-lanceolate and gradually tapering to the base. Darker green on the top side and lighter green on the other. Bark is thin and smooth with white dots. Twigs also dark brown with small white dots. Not flowering yet.

Galls are made by insects (related to aphids). Hackberry nipple galls are common in Eastern NA They are made by insects. Inside the galls are insects hatching, feeding, developing.
