@dietel look what my husband found today! First time seeing this.

I first saw the specimen peeking out from a folded piece of kelp. When I repositioned the kelp it it left the leaf and moved across the petri dish. Approximately 3mm

On wet decaying oak branch

Growing on a moth pupae that was in the bark of a hardwood log.

Host Quercus lobata

These were growing on the underside of an oak log.
