Sea anemone on gastropod shell. One of many found near shore seine bycatch.

Habitat: Rocky intertidal

8-10cm long, found in a rock pool

Disc diameter approx. 4mm

Medusa released from a colony of Pennaria, a very common and abundant intertidal hydrozoan at this location. Several medusae were seen in the process of being released from the sessile colony.

Tentative ID. Size 8-9mm.

Disc diameter roughly 4 inches, 28m depth

Caught as a bycatch in gill net.

Seen in the intertidal

Roughly 1cm 'tall'

(Not a captive specimen. Found under a rock in the intertidal, and temporarily held for ID photos.)

Eggs, presumably of molluscan origin(?) found arranged in broken barnacle exoskeletons.
