Habitat: This was found in an urban ecosystem in my backyard. They are found in Central America and the southeastern United States. They are found along deciduous forests and oak hammocks.
Visual description. They are black color with orange eyes. Its size is around 6 mm. There shape is like a sunflower petal or fern leaflet. It has six slender feet.
Characteristics: They cannot store lipid in their fat body cells. They need adequate moisture and decayed vegetation to survive. They can decrease visibility and corrode paint because their body fluids are a little acidic.

They were about 1 1/2 centimeters long.
