31. Help mee om de herkenning in iNaturalist te verbeteren

iNaturalist kan soorten die op fotos staan herkennen.. Hoe dit gaat is te lezen in Computers herkennen organismen.Soortenherkenning door iNaturalist is een goedemogelijkheid om de basis soorten te herkennen.

De website herkend wereldwijd 20,000 maar heeft meer fotos nodig om meer soorten te kunnen herkennen zoals de groep Hagedissen, met name de familie Anolis!

In de wereld zijn 416 soorten anole hagedissen bekend maar er zijn maar 197 bekend in de website iNaturalist. And en maar slechts 25 species hebben genoeg waarnemingen (~20) om ze op te kunnen nemen in het herkenningssysteem.

We hebben je hulp nodig om :

1. Upload je fotos van anoles, met name de soorten die ontbreken in in iNaturalist
2. Bepaal de soort van Anolen die door anderen gepost zijn op iNaturalist zodat ze "Research Grade" krijgen en gebruikt kunnen worden voor training van het herkenningsssteem

Om te beginnen ga naar Het genus Anolis page op iNaturalist door op ‘Species’ in het menu te klikken en te zoeken voor het genus Anolis.

Als je bent aangekomen bij Het genus Anolis page, 1. zie je het totaal van Anole soorten van het totaal aantal waargenomen Anolen. Klik ‘View all’ om het volgende te zienfull histogram. 2. Clicking on the Trends tab will list some of the ‘Wanted’ species that haven’t yet been observed as well as recent additions to the tally. As more Anole observations are uploaded and identified, the stats on this page will update.

Upload your photos of anoles

First Log In or Sign Up to iNaturalist.



Then Click ‘Add’ from the dropdown in the main menu to launch the upload tool.



Drag your anole photos into the upload tool. Each card represents a single observation, you can drag them to combine them. Make sure you add 1. identifications, 2. dates, and 3. locations to each card. Then, 4. submit your observations.



Identify photos of anoles posted by others

Assuming you’re logged in to your account, Click ‘Identify’ under ‘Observations’ in the main menu to launch the identify tool.



From the identify tool, 1. Enter ‘Anoles’ in the ‘Species’ field and 2. optionally add a country or other location into the ‘Place’ field to filter observations of Anoles that need identifications. 3. Click on an observation to view it in more detail. If you can identify it, 4. click ‘Add ID’, choose a species, and 5. Save your identification.
