Roystonea is mostly found in the Caribbean islands, Florida, Central America, in Northern South America. The Roystonea is also known as the Royal Palm. The size of his palms reach up to 138 feet which is equivalent to 42 m. The leaf base forms a distinctive green sheath around the upper most portion of the trunk. This part of the tree is known as the crown shift which can range from 4 feet to 6 feet tall. The main purpose of this tree is to decorate for example on a long driveway or on big Estates.
