iNaturalist Walk 1

Today I went on a walk near the Pine Tree Reserves on my walk back to the Reservoir Apartments after class. It was a very nice day out with the sun shining and a cool dry 67ºF. There was minimal wind and many people were walking around and biking around the reservoir. The 5 wild life observations I made for this day was a Eastern Gray Squirrel, Canada Goose, a Common Eastern Bumble Bee, Dandelions, and the Woolly Hedgenettle. I saw the bee, the dandelions, and the Woolly Hedgenettle in the pine tree reserves off to the side of the paths, and saw the Canada Goose and the squirrel next to the Res.

This is a woolly hedgenettle. Otherwise known as lamb’s ear. It is very soft and felty to touch. However as it was not placed there intentionally it is a wild plant. There are many of these near my house in NJ. The weather was very nice.

Here is pictured a few dandelion flowers. This photo was also captured at the pine tree reserves and is considered a wild plant because it was not planted there intentionally. The weather was very nice that day with a cool 69°.

Here I saw a squirrel eating some kind of nut or cracker. The weather was very nice out and it was on my way back home at 2k. It ran away very quickly so this was the best photo I could get
