Purple martins have returned.
So glad to see them earlier. Last year they didn't appear until June. Praying that this year they have a more successful brood.
The only hitch for now is that starlings are trying to lay claim onto the martin houses so I regularly check them to make sure there are no invasive species taking up residence.

Also, this is the earliest they have appeared for us. Before now, they came at the end of April.
Working overtime. Starlings and house sparrows won't leave the houses alone.
