This very large scorpion was fleeing an army-ant swarm. I estimate it's body+tail length to be about 10cm, based upon the key fob in the second photo, that measures 4.5 x 5cm.
Habitat was tropical semi-deciduous forest with patches of coffee and mangoes, about 600m elevation and 2km from the Pacific Coast.

This was an older fledgling, was observed being fed by an adult female at least 3 times, but also was foraging tentatively from nearby flowers, and had pollen on its fore-crown. Was actively begging with frequent, high-pitched "seet" calls.
