Female Macromia illinoiensis with wing aberration
I have never seen or never noticed this in an odonate's wing cells before. It looks to have originated from within (as seen by one set of patterning that is incomplete, and the basic restriction to wing cell borders).
Unfortunately I didn't notice at the time so I didn't get closer shots.

Shortly after this while I was stumbling deeper in brush I inadvertently came too close to a hawk's nest. Without me even noticing (until I felt the air change) the hawk descended and came just a few inches from clipping my head.

Male Sympetrum ambiguum transferring sperm from gonopores to secondary genitalia
Less than 30 seconds after disengaging from the wheel position with a female this male perched nearby above her, periodically flying off to guard her, then returning to this perch to replenish his secondary genitalia with sperm.

She had some kind of damage and longitudinal warping to the wings. She never closed them the duration I observed her. When I first spotted her from a distance I mistook her for a spreadwing.
