There were dozens of bullfrogs and green frogs in this vernal pool, but only this one wasn’t fully submerged.

There were many at the pond, but this was the only one I saw in the vernal pool. Later it hauled its body out to sun.

The vernal pools were just teeming with them, so loud at times they drowned out the bird song.

It’s that time of year again, was very excited to be in the right place at the right time! There were so many and the size variation was huge…one was as small as a night crawler.
