In mixed conifer forest, mostly Douglas Fir and Western Hemlock, about 2500' growing in duff on the side of the road. Multiple specimens widely spaced but mostly in a line. Lovely blueish color and a very sweet anise or vanilla odor. A very beautiful mushroom. Still very fragrant after drying for 2 days. My new favorite mushroom.

Most were going to seed already. There were a lot along the roadside, just a few scattered blooms.
