@shesgotlegs
Thought I better post the other 2 specimens I think are the same as the one you id'ed for us the other day; since you've just looked through the relevant papers.
Found on Ellura like the other male & female.
This one walked up glass like the other male. I didn't test the female as I didn't know about this feature then.
Interestingly all 3 were found in April & May in 2016 & 2020
Cheers

Now this is an interesting plant.
It's classed as "Least Concern" both regionally & state wide.
Yet, has VERY few specimen photo's.
So took a while to work out the species.
The fruit is diagnostic with these.
They are full screen height photo's and show seedling, mature plant, bud, flower & fruit.
The flowers are geen/white and point down.
The fruits are anglef and pointed.
The basal leaves are unusually not split into twinleaves like the others. It's so unusual we thought that the purslanes in the last photo might be seedling. But those plants have no twin-leaves, where as the seedling shot of these shows only 1 or 2 basal leaves missing the twin-leaflet tips.

How's that saying go?
"The only good saffron thistle is dead saffron thistle" .....
Actually, no that's not quite right.
Try & pick this up and put in a weed bag.
It'll go through 10 layers of leather gloves, 20 weed bags and still manage to stab you.
"The only good saffron thistle is NO ssaffron thistle" ;-)

Onion Weed
In our opinion it's the most desctructive weed in our semi-arid environment.
We are proud to have eradicated from Ellura, with only new seeding coming from animals, so always vigilant.
We have written a paper on eradicating it and published it on our web site on our "Introduced" page:

Plume Moth
There were 2 specimens on the night that came to a night light.
Based on body shape I assume this is a male, and the 1st specimen a female.
While the antennae look the same, the male has less dark banding and much longer wing hair like scales.

Brown Lacewing
@rhytiphora a new species for you.
Found a couple of id's on the TV in the lounge last night.
Very pleased with this one, 1st record for SA :-) New species for you.
Seems a pretty unusual species.
While these shots are all of the same specimen, I flipped the images so the head points to the left showing both sides in the same orientation.
Notice the wing venation along the leading edge (at the arrow) varies considerably from side to side.
This can also be seen on the ventral shot as well.
Your place does attract some unusual lacewings!

Lesser Brown Blowfly (Calliphora augur)
Sorry about the red lighting. It was sunset. I didn't realise how it impacted all the photo's until it flew off.
There were a number around, but catching one to photograph is another thing.
While I'm familiar with these, I'm not so familiar with what else it could be.
Had the blue 'bum' with white reflections typical of them but flew off before I could get a shot from the posterior end.

There were a number of these at a light sheet. These may be different individuals.
