I don't think this is simply a blackberry stained Northern Mockingbird, because when it landed straight above me, I was excited because it seemed much larger than a Blue Jay, Cuckoo, or Mockingbird. It seemed slightly larger than a Yellow-billed Cuckoo. It showed black and white in the wings just like a Mockingbird does in flight (?) as it flew over into the dense cover of a nearby tree. AI seems to not have a clue. I looked through Mimidae and Cuculiformes, and nothing stood out. ??? Probably just a big Mockingbird, but I'm fairly certain on the size. ???

I didn't have time to count the # of wingbeats between glides. Was lucky just to get this. Seemed to be in that male Coop, female Sharpie size range.

Ten observations over a span of five years, and this is the first time I have come across one in a bathroom, I think.

He flew into this dense tangle of assorted vines covering small trees. I started "pishing", and bit by bit he worked his way out, and then posed like this for me. Tada!
