Two of these were buzzing around very close to the entrance to an active beehive (Apis mellifera) though there was very little bee traffic in and out. May not have the same individual in my pics. Looked about 12-15 mm long.

Quite common here but this seems a very healthy one. Growing on soil on a south-facing slope under a small fairly dense shrub.

This surely qualifies as a rodent extreme sport! This little thing was near the top of that sweetthorn (pic 2). I estimate the tree was 2.5 times my height. I'm 1.8 m. So he was about 4 m off the ground. With a lot of thorns between him and the ground.

Not so sure about the ID (pattern on skin very faint, head maybe too narrow and skin missing around eyes (pic 3)) but the following seem to fit.
Skin total length about 560 mm (pic 2). Dorsal scales keeled (pic 1), 20,21,25 at different positions (mean 22) - tricky to count these; Ventral scales 151; Anal shield entire; Subcaudals 26, paired (pic 6).
