Very tiny. Maybe 1-2cm across. And pulsating. Super cool.

A school packed in around an urchin (?Astropyga radiata?). Really cool and creepy ball of moving fish. Fastest I've ever seen an urchin move.
White dot behind dorsal fin and at base of pectorals.

swimming fairly fast in waves. And I could never find them when there weren't waves, so I'm not sure they weren't following the bubbles! which is why photo so rubbish. Very pronounced silver bellies but bodies normal shaped (so transparent after bellies).

QUESTION for anyone who can answer: is she preggas? Had a bulgey tummy.
oh my gosh it brought up the right species without me having to type it in. Photo recognition is amazing.

I'm assuming same species. IDing based on RLS database descriptions: shorter first dorsal fin, mottled brown, small saddles, and no curve or lines under eye as in clarkei and atrogulare.

Quite small, diametre of maybe 1cm, several of them, near lots of dried up blue bottles and same colour as tentacles, but didn't seem to be tentacles. It didn't sting. Was soft. Wondered if it was some type of slug with spherical cerata?? or a tunicate? I have no idea.

perfectly formed hole in the ground, no tube visible above. Appeared to be alone. (Well, except for stinkfish and mysids!) Super funky/creepy looking.

HOW can I tell if it's atrogulare or rufopilius if it doesn't match either description exactly? And yes, the photos aren't the best. Will add another screenshot of 2 pics of female for what it's worth. There were tonnes of them that day.
