Leaves broadly ovate or sub-orbicular, base broadly cuneate to trucate, margin entire, tip rounded to obscurely crenate, glabrescent above with sparse, large (2-4 mm) 3-armed hairs beneath. Epicalyx lobes 9 or 10, linear-oblanceloate, 5-9 x 1-4 mm, with a distinct midvein and lamina-like margin, becoming strongly reflexed. Calyx cup-shaped, 10-15 mm long, splitting to below the middle into two, broadly ovate, entire lobes, glabrescent. (A G Miller)
