Collected as part of a sample for Bsal in a vernal pool. The pool was drying up and didn't contain many adult amphibians, but there were several wood frog and spotted salamander egg masses. The weather was about 60 F with slight precipitation. This individual appears to be a pregnant female.

Birds of Vermont Museum property, Huntington, VT
Found in freshwater stream under a rock. The surrounding forest seemed to be mostly young hardwood trees, and the weather was about 50 F and partly cloudy at about 1pm. Several other frog and salamander species were found nearby. This individual seemed to have lost the tip of its tail at some point but was in the middle of regrowing it.
