I'm a tropical horticulturist, retired from Volunteer Park Conservatory and formerly Woodland Park Zoo Hort in Seattle, Wa. My career focused on curating, displaying and caring for cactus, succulents, bromeliads, carnivorous, epiphytes and other oddball plants, mostly under glass. Now in retirement I'm enjoying exploring outdoors in the Pacific NW and Mexico.
