I am a wildlife biologist in Santa Barbara County, California. I have a particular interest in terrestrial invertebrates. On iNaturalist I primarily focus on California Orthoptera: grasshoppers, katydids, crickets and the like.

I routinely bait orthoperans and beetles by laying out oatmeal trails at night. Insects photographed with oatmeal are wild unless otherwise noted :-)
