I live near Late Rototoa (Ototoa), on the South Head peninsula, Kaipara Harbour. I swim in, kayak on and walk in the native bush around this freshwater dune lake. I walk the dog on the beach at Omokoieti bay, South Head of Kaipara Harbour, where there is often drift seaweed on the mudflats and a shallow sand beach. I'm interested in learning about the natural history of these environments.
