I am a rank amateur naturalist, starting out as a birder around 2009 and gradually getting interested in fungi, wildflowers,, trees, butterflies and other living things as I explore mostly near (sometimes far). I enjoy learning about specialized ecosystems; that drive shapes local explorations of bogs, barrens, meadows etc in the tristate area. I love to forage and gain knowledge of wild edibles.
