I joined iNaturalist as part of a volunteer program with Parks Canada for an amphibian count in Banff National Park. I'm a scientist developing solid oxide fuel cells for clean power generation. My expertise is in chemistry and high temperature materials science, but I have always had a keen interest in wildlife and believe it is important to maintain healthy populations. I enjoy observing wildlife and understand that wildlife counts and observation are important for effective Conservation measures, so I'm happy to help in any way I can. This will mostly be in the form of observations since I'm not a biologist so my IDs are restricted to flaura and fauna I'm really certain of (Canada Geese mostly:)
