I am a bonsai enthusiast (hence the username), all-around science lover (microbiology to geology but not anatomy), white-water canoeist , hiker (I love the strenuous), nerd, mountain biker (I'm learning), Trekkie , blackbelt (II degree), reef tank owner (although there's only one coral), avid outdoorsman, fiddler, snow skier, dog lover, apologist (creationist), and eventually civil engineer (environmental). I’m also a huge fan of Creation Magazine. Although I will do research on and take pictures of almost any living thing, I am most interested in arthropods, plants, and seashells. Seashells (especially bivalves) are really the only thing I can ID well and I have a particular interest in collecting micros (mostly because they take up little space in an already large collection). I’m an enthusiast in most everything but unfortunately not an expert (I have no formal training). If you think I’m mistaken, you may be right but please tell me why, I’m here to learn. 🖖 Live long and prosper!
