Vegetation and restoration specialist on the Front Range. Former biologist with the Great Basin Institute at Joshua Tree National Park. From Syracuse, New York, where I studied Conservation Biology and Recreation Resource and Protected Area Management at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF).

At ESF, I worked in an entomology lab with USDA APHIS and the NYSDEC researching environmental factors affecting progeny size of a suite of parasitoid wasps for use as a biocontrol against the invasive emerald ash borer.

I served two years in AmeriCorps, one with the Nevada Conservation Corps and another with the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). I'm a huge advocate of AmeriCorps and for national and community service!

In Nevada, I built trail in the Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Sand Mountain, the Sierra Nevada near Lake Tahoe, and the Spring Mountains. In the NCCC, I worked with several land management agencies in conservation projects from the shores of Mendocino County to the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
