I am the Research Curator of Non-molluscan Invertebrates at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. I spend an inordinate amount of time in freshwater and near-freshwater habitats. While I now largely roam the southeastern and mid-Atlantic U.S., I have collected throughout much of the North American continent. My primary research focus is on the taxonomy, systematics, and evolution of crayfishes and two groups of obligate ecto-symbionts of crayfishes: branchiobdellidans (crayfish worms) and entocytherid ostracods. I do a fair bit of work on leeches as well. Learn more about my lab: http://1001jars.com/
