Behind our home is a partially wooded edge of a marsh. I mostly use iNaturalist to identify plants I find in the process of trying to gradually restore natural habitat. Some are additional natives I have bought to include and wish to document. iNaturalist has thankfully helped me catch some invasive species before they have gotten too out of control. I’m on the lookout for threatened and endangered species as well, since we do have some unique plants and animals, at least to me. Several species of birds we have locally are listed or have been until recently, but my photography skills need some work before I can get some good photos of them. I post new or special sightings (for whatever reason) of them on eBird instead of here.
