A zoologist by training and a former professional ecologist and open spaces manager, I consider myself to be an all-round naturalist with a particular interest in birds & amphibians, and recently, moths.

I took early retirement from full-time employment in 2021 in order to spend less time behind a desk and more time exploring the natural world, chiefly in the UK, Portugal & Brazil.
