Walk my dog and take photos with my phone - mainly of flowers, trees, occasionally insects and larger animals - in the Chicago IL (USA) area: the Lake (Michigan), city parks, forest preserves within an hour of the city. The humble but beautiful prairies of this corner of the Great Lakes.

I grew up on a barrier island off the Gulf (of Mexico) coastal plane of South Texas, so living now in this latitude, by an enormous body of fresh water, I'm overcome by the beauty of the changing seasons, the wild flowers, the birds. Yes it's flat, but where I come from is flatter and without a real spring. (But does have migrating whooping cranes, a little inland.)
