Hi,
I'm Josiah, a 16 y-o Floridian. Born in Miami and currently living just north of it. My interest in nature started at the age of 5 when I began collecting seashells, which was something easy to do when I lived a block from the beach. I quickly formed a fascination with marine biology. I discovered iNat in the summer of 2021 when someone told me about it. iNaturalist has helped in deepening and expanding my knowledge and appreciation for nature unmeasurably from sponges to plants to springtails... you name it! I use iNat to record every part of nature that I can manage to photograph. What I'm up to nowadays includes hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, skiing/snowboarding when I'm up north, backpacking, studying everything it seems, iNatting (quite obviously), camping, practicing wildlife photography, and traveling when possible. Hoping to work for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission someday!
