Any day I can get out and explore nature is a victory. (Jai means victory in Hindi.) When I’m well enough to be active , I go by Jai, Janine is my given name. when asked to recall my earliest memory of a time I felt so content and lost in an activity, it was always when I was exploring nature. I loose sense of time in discovering. I love being able to know all about the new things I discover in moments. Even when I can’t physically be discovering nature, I can discover by the information online. Now a Master Naturalist, new to giving things names, not new to being a curious observer.
Retired Art educator I have a native plant wildlife habitat in my suburban yard established in 2005 but always evolving. The birds and critters I invite are constantly bringing me new plants to discover.
