Mehmet Karaca (Ph.D.) is an acarologist, and especially works on systematic of zerconid mites (family Zerconidae).
Since 2015, many new species and new records of this family were presented from Turkey and Iran by him.
Besides mite taxonomy, his observations are continue on several invertebrata groups.
