Kris is an avid nature lover and a lifetime outdoorswoman. She is a grassroots environmental activist and PA Master Naturalist who specializes in inspiring community eco-engagement. Kris serves on The Phila Parks and Recreation Commission and was the recent Trail Ambassador of the Year at the Friends of the Wissahickon. Kris gives guided walks and presentations designed to inspire folks to work towards environmental restoration and preservation projects and promote "Nature" in their communities. "People often become interested in environmental conservation by becoming fascinated by something simple, like butterflies & moths." Kris partners with FOW, PPR and the Free Library of Andorra to offer popular nighttime events like Moth Night, Bat Night and the upcoming Summer Skies Series this summer.
