I am a member of the San Diego Chapter of CNPS. I like gardening with plants native to So. Calif. and Baja. I am a volunteer at Batiquitos Lagoon and the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Botany Society. I started the Desert Lily Project on iNaturalist to collect observations of this enigmatic species. A large percentage of my observations are from hikes I take with Tom Chester and Nancy Accola, and I have learned a great deal from them. Here is a link to the Desert Lily Fact Sheet that Tom and I put together: http://tchester.org/bd/species/agavaceae/hesperocallis_undulata_facts.html
Recently my older son and his family moved to Oahu, Hawaii, and I have become more interested in native Hawaiian plants. Since the onset on Covid-19 I have been hiking alone but still enjoying it. I'm currently trying to learn the local lichens and non-vascular plants, but it's hard!
