Hello! My name is Lily and I am a student at the University of Florida. I am currently double majoring in wildlife ecology and conservation as well as microbiology/cell science. Here, I am a member of the UF chapter of WDA (activities coordinator), TWS, and the pre-veterinary club.
I currently do conservation research at the Wetland and Aquatic Research Center for the U.S. Geological Survey focusing on CWD detection, manatee health, and invasive species biological control. Most of my projects are centered around disease, immunology, or cell biology.
My future plan is to do my masters at UF, then enroll in a combined DVM/PhD program and specialize in veterinary anatomical pathology focusing in wildlife disease. But more importantly, I just want my future career to be in nature and to help conservation efforts!
