Grew up playing outside near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Majored in Environmental Studies after realizing in college that not everyone loved the land and water as much as I do. An internship with the Jane Goodall Institute in China sparked an interest in teaching children about the natural world, and the AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassador Program led me to Duke Farms, the largest privately-owned undeveloped tract of land in NJ, where we offer 400+ educational programs per year. Used iNaturalist in 2018 for a yearlong Master Naturalist course and integrated BioBlitz, now IDing anything of interest to myself and affiliated orgs!
