Ecologist and evolutionary biologist and pandemic-forged birder (born-again naturalist?). Began birding and nature photography thanks to students I mentored in the Ecological Society's SEEDs program, who invited me to join a team in their biodiversity contest at the 2020 ESA virtual conference. The contest was carried out with iNaturalist. My main areas of research interest have been in phylogenomics, ecological phylogenetics and biological diversity, both macro and micro.
