I live in on the the Big Island of Hawaii (Hawaii Island) where we experienced a dengue fever outbreak (2015-2016) with more than 260 known cases. In the course of reporting news stories on the outbreak and participating in an active Facebook Group (Hawaii Dengue Fever Awareness) I became very interested in the type of mosquitos, Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus, which can spread dengue, zika and chikungunya. In addition to posting observations about mosquitos, I will add shots of other wildlife I've collected over the years.
