I like big birds; baldies, hawks, herons, and vultures.

I visit the bald eagle nest on Highway 39 once or twice a week. Love the drama of the yearly nest building , brooding and fledging.

I also live in a house with a flock of turkey vultures that come by every night, yes every night, all year, rain or shine. Their crap is all over my front steps, but I have come to peace with their persistence. They are huge raptors and they attract such rare sightings as Peregrine Falcons and, twice, a Zone Tailed Hawk. And the flock varies from 10 to 60, so that alone is quite a drama. Update on 4/2021, they have not returned much since the bobcat fire of 2020. Update 10/2021, persistence resumed

In real life, I'm a philanthropic dentist. Helped start numerous charity dental clinics in skidrow, Watts, Boyle Heights and all over Los Angeles. This year, our LA Christian Health Center opened 23,000 sq ft a medical/dental/psycho/social services clinic on 7th and Wall, LA, CA, June 2021. Donations welcome to www.lachc.com

I'm road biking and mountain biking two or three times a week. Last fall (2019) got my first real camera, Cannon T7i with 300 mm lens. The next year, March, 2020, got the Sigma 600mm. Wow, love this hobby.
