I like nature and spend a lot of time trying to help it out.

I'm the founding admin of the Maryland Environmentally-Conscious Gardening group on Facebook and I try to make everything I plant in my garden native to the area, but every new day renews my certainty that I've got a LOT to learn.

As of late summer, 2021, I'm an interim board member for the Maryland Native Plant Society.

I am also the creator of the "Baltimore Non-Native Invasive Plants" iNaturalist project and a Baltimore Weed Warrior.

I live in a large urban wilderness park and am fortunate to have little river and a lot of trails in my backyard.
