Qualified horticulturalist, linguist, and passionate naturalist. I teach gardening and sustainability to primary children in Melbourne. I have set up a project for long-term study of biodiversity at East Bentleigh Primary School, teaching students how to be citizen scientists and submit observations.
I am a member and volunteer of Port Phillip EcoCentre, Friends of Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve (Yalukit Willam Reserve), Marine Care Ricketts Point, Friends of Braeside Park, Friends of Coranderrk. I love observing life around me whether in the bush or in suburbia.
As a member of Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve, I help out as a PlantLab member (collecting and propagating wetland and terrestrial plants of Boonwurrung country for our revegetation in the park), and help organise the monthly Fly By Night surveys (moths and invertebrates). I also help in working bees, litter picking, weeding, rescuing injured wildlife and have set up the long term project of biodiversity study of the park and Elwood Canal on iNaturalist!
