I grew up among naturalists; both of my parents, and my father's grandfather, and grandmother were avid amateur botanists. They taught me the beauty of science, and the joy of curiosity of our natural world. I learned deep in my bones to respect, and appreciate the natural world. Then I grew up, and took it for granted, and stopped actively learning about natural history. Now I return to this curious exploring. It is with great joy and awe to delight in my natural world around me in a more focused effort to learn all I can.
