Hello World!

My name is Katie and I reside in and am from Southern California, currently based in Long Beach for the last 20+ years, but with a tendency towards travel throughout the range of California and beyond when I am able to.

I was brought to iNaturalist by folks in the mycological community like Alan Rockefeller, Christian Schwarz, and Noah Siegel. They are the reason why I know about this site, and moreover how I have come to learn and focus on teaching myself, as well as others about fungi.

Outside of community science, I am a practicing artist who utilizes 2D and 3D spaces to create and express the inspiration I find within the natural world. I like to create drawings, illustrations, stickers, postcards, jewelry and wearables. Currently I am in progress of making a website to be an online seller of art I have created recently. Once I have completed the launch there will be a direct link to the pages where my art can be accessed and purchased.
