Way back in the 1990's I received my MS in Plant Taxonomy at the University of Florida, under Dr. Walter Judd. Almost all of my field work was in Belize and Guatemala in general floristics with a focus on Manilkara zapota, (the Chicle tree) and quickly morphed into making and selling chewing gum. JungleGum was a successful business for several years, but finally succumbed to economic pitfalls. I am currently re-acquainting myself with the botany of Coastal Maine.
