Fortunately, I got to know an ornithologist who also taught and spoke of his discoveries while traveling the world in search of each bird species. Bob taught me much about birds, butterflies, flowers, trees among a few. When Bob Thompson passed away his family gave me many books from his library. Regretably Bob died before he could take me to see the migration of the Sandhill Crane.
