Dammit. It ran all the way down the north side of Horseshoe Dam Road to the Verde River, taking out the lower canyon that I mentioned here. That canyon was full of desert willows and was a good birding and butterfly area. I woke up to a pall of smoke from the fire around the house. There were some old friends in that smoke.
